These pics were taken on a smokey September 19, 2012. What else would a DSNGRR employee do on his day off, other than drive back up to Silverton again? The aspen have a long way to go; this is just the start of Fall up in the high country. We're all green down below 8,000 elevation and in Durango. This final pic is up near the top of Molas Pass. For all my friends that haven't ridden on my tour up to Silverton for the train, I like to think of this as "MY OFFICE" everyday.
