On March 10th and 11th, 2011, we spent a couple of nights in a transient slip at Black Point Marina down along the southwest shore of Biscayne Bay. It’s a municipal marina operated (and I use that term loosely, but that’s a whole different story) by Miami-Dade County Parks & Recreation. Black Point is adjacent to growing Mount Trashmore, a major Miami area trash dump; and now possibly the highest elevation in the state of Florida. Not sure about that, so don’t quote me.
