The Key West Mooring is a nicely protected anchorage from three sides, but wide open exposure to the Gulf on the North end. There are some shallows of 2-3 feet in that direction but that's of little comfort when a norther rolls in. It gets seriously bouncy when winds get to 20 knots or more. Friday night we'll be under a NOAA "Gale Warning" as another cold front arrives . . .over 30 knots. What in the world are you guys doing "up there"? There are about 50 other sailboats around us here, and we're getting concerned about the lousy weather you're sending down into Florida. Are you just trying to make Al Gore look like an idiot? Durango now has 105% of its normal snowfall and March is usually the huge month; and seriously, snow in San Diego? Come on. Oh, well, enough complaining . . .have fun DC, Virginia, East Coast, but knock it off.
