We haven't seen this before. Cormorants are "solitary" fishermen. However, yesterday, a whole flock of them landed in unison beside Summer Breeze and were facing south, or downwind, just bobbing like a bunch of corks. One took off and made a large 180 degree arc, heading into the north breeze . . .the others all watched on intently. They all paddled around in unison following its flight path. When the one leader was about 100 yards to the north, the others were now uniformly facing that direction. Then they suddenly took off in pursuit as one large flock. We're easily entertained!
i wish 11 year olds were so "flock thinking".
