ZION NAT'L PARK TO LAS VEGAS

After 3 nites tenting in Zion Nat'l Park, we were starting to smell like our down sleeping bags. We heard that they have running water in Las Vegas so we headed for Nevada. The scenery changed quickly after leaving Zion, as we joined the stream of humanity on route to Sin City.

Our Facebook friends have already seen this pic. We got a real kick out of this sign in Virgin, Utah. When you drive by it, the "rare & used virgins" really grabs you. There are NO "used virgins" in Utah, nor Nevada, and certainly not in California. They are "rare", however.

Bellagio Fountain. Perfect place for a shower after hiking for days; unfortunately security is pretty intense.

So we had to wait until after dark.

Glass flower ceiling of the Bellagio lobby.

We couldn't decide on the multiple entertainment options . . . drag queens or the CNN Republican Presidential Nominations debate ??? Too fun!

What a zoo!

After the culture shock of Las Vegas, it was nice to be clean again. However, heading back out into the desert toward Death Valley actually felt relaxing. Death Valley Nat'l Park, here we come!
