LAKE TAHOE & RENO to DURANGO

Virginia City, Nevada . . . like Silverton, on commercial steroids.

Driving through Utah is like watching a really neat cowboy movie. A really LONG cowboy movie, but neat nonetheless.

What a great trip! Fifteen days, 3300 miles, and we flattened 2 air mattresses in the process. About $600 for gas, but we only lost $1 in Las Vegas and $2 in Reno; we're obviously on their "whale" list now. The Coastal Redwoods and the Sequoias were everything we hoped for; Zion and Yosemite were bonuses as well. It's good to know that Zion Nat'l Park is as close as it is to us in Durango; we'll go back there again. Here's some final pics driving home. We've got a few days to pack, then off to Brooke & David's wedding in Austin on November 14. Then, ahhhhh . . . it's Summer Breeze, here we come!
